The Asian Kho Kho Federation (AKKF) has announced the inclusion of the Kho-Kho Association of the Philippines as one of its newest members. This milestone highlights Kho Kho's expanding global presence, as affirmed by a release from the AKKF. The traditional Indian sport, known for its speed and teamwork, is capturing interest worldwide.
"With the Philippines joining, we're witnessing yet another country embracing the spirit, agility, and teamwork that Kho Kho represents," stated Aslam Sher Khan, President of AKKF. This expansion aligns with the federation's mission to globalize Kho Kho across Asia.
The Philippines now joins numerous Asian countries in promoting Kho Kho at grassroots and competitive levels. The sport is developing in local communities, and the national association is preparing for its first national championship. Leaders are optimistic about representing the Philippines on the international stage, beginning with local grassroots efforts.
