Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) has cemented its status as a sustainability leader with the recent Water Positive certification from GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment). The FMCG conglomerate recorded an impressive Water Positivity Index of 1.80, highlighting its dedication to reducing freshwater dependency.
This certification follows extensive water management initiatives across 30 locations in India, including Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, significantly bolstering water recharge efforts. DS Group’s intervention has created a storage potential of 66 Lakh KL, positioning it among the few corporates in India with such a high water positivity score.
Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar emphasized the importance of water stewardship amid rising global water demand, aligning DS Group’s efforts with COP30’s discussions on water security and climate resilience. The company continues to integrate conservation and responsible resource use into its operations, setting a benchmark for sustainable corporate practices.
