Russian air defence units successfully intercepted at least 67 Ukrainian drones heading for Moscow on Monday, the city's mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, confirmed in released data.

Earlier, Sobyanin listed the interception of 38 drones, but later updates on Telegram revealed an additional 29 drones were downed, marking an uptick in aerial incursions.

The Russian Defence Ministry reported that air defences shot down 59 drones from late afternoon to evening hours, underscoring the heightened vigilance against drone threats targeting Moscow and other areas.
