The India Meteorological Department issues district-wise early warnings four times a day, valid for up to seven days. These are disseminated through various channels for timely public and authority access.
The Central Water Commission supports these efforts by issuing forecasts from 350 stations, using state-of-the-art prediction models to provide up to seven-day advance advisories and short-range flood forecasts.
