Heat Wave Sweeps Across Haryana and Punjab

As summer begins to set in gradually, temperatures in Haryana and Punjab have soared above normal limits, with Hisar emerging as the hottest location in the region at 37.5 degrees Celsius, six degrees above the norm.
Chandigarh witnessed a similar trend, with temperatures climbing to 32.3 degrees Celsius, also six notches above average, as indicated by the local meteorological office. The temperature rise has been consistent over the past few days.
Several other locations, including Ambala, Narnaul, and Gurugram, recorded highs significantly above their usual averages, signaling a potential challenging summer. Punjab cities such as Ludhiana, Patiala, and Amritsar also faced rising heat levels, substantially surpassing seasonal expectations.
