A fire broke out in a three-storey building in Sector 63, sparking a dramatic rescue effort on Wednesday afternoon. Officials confirmed that there were no casualties.
According to Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar, the blaze began around 2.15 pm in a ground-floor room near Swaad Sweets in Chhijarsi village. Thanks to prompt action by the fire department team, all individuals inside were evacuated safely.
Kumar reported that a cylinder leak caused a blast, igniting the fire. A daring rooftop rescue ensued, as those trapped were moved to a neighboring roof using a ladder. The situation was brought under control with two fire tenders working efficiently.
