SRM University-AP and JK Srivastava Hynfra P.S.A. Ltd have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding to boost green hydrogen research, aligning with Andhra Pradesh's vision to become India's Green Hydrogen Hub by 2030.

The university will establish a Centre of Excellence in Hydrogen Technologies to promote research and innovation in this emerging sector. The project supports Andhra Pradesh's goal to produce 1.5 MMTPA of green hydrogen by developing infrastructure and reducing hydrogen costs.

Key initiatives include the development of hydrogen-powered vehicles and larger scale deployments such as green ammonia production, facilitated by a significant investment of ₹35,000 crore from the JK Srivastava Group in partnership with Hynfra. This collaboration is expected to create over 10,000 jobs, marking a substantial move in India's clean energy transition.
