In Sindravani village, Rudraprayag district, a leopard carried off Daksh Bisht as he played in his courtyard. Rescue teams worked tirelessly, recovering his body later that night. Authorities have intensified safety measures, including patrolling and cage setups to mitigate further risks.
Meanwhile, in the Juna Estate area of Bhimtal, Ganga Devi was fatally attacked while collecting cattle fodder. The community urged swift forest department action, with calls for improved measures following sustained leopard activity. Schools in affected regions remain closed to protect children.
