A 45-year-old man lost his life, and another suffered injuries in a hit-and-run incident involving their goods rickshaw near Chhatrasal Stadium in northwest Delhi, according to police reports.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday. A police control room call received at 6.24 am alerted Model Town Police Station, leading officers to the scene, where one individual was pronounced dead, and another was transported to the hospital by a PCR van. The deceased was identified as Santosh, around 45, from Malikpur village. The injured party, Mewa Ram, also 45, hails from Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district.

Ram informed police that an unidentified vehicle hit them from behind near Chhatrasal Stadium before fleeing. Authorities have registered a case under sections 281, 106(1), and 125(A) of the BNS, and further investigations are underway, police stated.
