Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has raised an urgent alarm regarding the severe air pollution enveloping Delhi. On Sunday, she called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to take decisive steps to clear the 'filthy smog' affecting the city's residents.
Gandhi, who recently returned to Delhi, expressed her shock at the capital's air quality, describing it as a 'grey shroud.' She appealed for collective action beyond political lines to address the annual pollution crisis affecting Delhi's citizens.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's air quality index soared to 386, marking a significant rise. The Air Quality Early Warning System indicated that reduced wind speeds have worsened pollution dispersion, leaving residents to breathe toxic air.
