In a significant infrastructure boost, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a water pipeline project at the Border Security Force (BSF) camp in Chhawla, west Delhi, on Friday. This project ends a long-standing lack of piped water supply since the camp's establishment in 1982.
Gupta had previously committed to addressing the camp's water issues during her earlier visit in August for the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' event. The new pipeline will be connected to the Dwarka water treatment plant, enhancing not just the camp’s water supply but also that of the surrounding villages.
Addressing the attendees at the launch, Gupta also promised the installation of a synthetic sports track on the camp premises, responding to a request from BSF officials. She assured the personnel of her immediate action upon returning to the office, reflecting her commitment to fulfilling promises.
