Narendra Modi, India's Prime Minister, has claimed a significant voter endorsement for the BJP in West Bengal's recent assembly polls. Highlighting a 93% voter turnout, Modi framed this as a rejection of TMC's rule, describing their governance as a 'maha jungle raj'.
Speaking at Panihati, Modi positioned the election as a transformative moment for the state, which he described as being suffocated under TMC's leadership. The Prime Minister pledged to restore economic vigor, promote women's empowerment, and ensure strict accountability for any past injustices encountered by Bengal's residents.
Modi's speech also evoked historical sentiments, calling for a 'new revolution' echoing Subhas Chandra Bose's call for freedom. Promising improvements across sectors, he criticized the TMC for neglecting urban areas, and promised a BJP-led government would prioritize urban development.
