Ramagem, who left Brazil in September after being convicted of plotting a coup with Bolsonaro, had been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Monday. 'Alexandre Ramagem is free,' stated Brazilian commentator Paulo Figueiredo on the social media platform X.
On Wednesday, Ramagem's name was no longer listed among ICE detainees on their website, and the agency did not immediately respond to a request for comment, leaving his current immigration status unclear.
