The United States has announced its neutral stance in the ongoing war in Sudan, with a focus on creating a UN mechanism for resolving the conflict, according to a senior advisor for African affairs to the U.S. President.
Speaking on Wednesday, Senior Advisor Massad Boulos stated that the U.S. is committed to securing a humanitarian truce aimed at allowing much-needed aid to reach affected individuals. The statement was made on the fringes of an international Sudan aid conference held in Berlin.
The Berlin conference seeks to gather over $1 billion in aid commitments for Sudan, indicating the global community's urgent concern and the critical need for humanitarian intervention in the region.
