Sukhbir Badal Demands Relief for Farmers After Malwa Region Calamity

On Saturday, Sukhbir Singh Badal, president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), urged the Punjab government to compensate farmers with Rs 50,000 per acre for wheat crop damage resulting from recent hailstorms and rains in the Malwa region.
Addressing a rally under the SAD's 'Punjab Bachao' campaign, Badal claimed the AAP government failed to assist farmers, who are also awaiting compensation for past flood damages. Highlighting the unmet commitments by the current administration, he stressed the need for immediate aid and promised the SAD would restore a commission for agents if elected.
Badal concluded by outlining his vision to establish a world skill university and provide free education for marginalized communities, positioning SAD as a proactive solution for Punjab's future.
