Prime Minister Narendra Modi intensified his campaign for the Kerala Assembly polls, sharpening his rhetoric against the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF). He accused them of engaging in a rivalry equivalent to 'WWF fights' over matters including the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) and the Sabarimala gold loss.
Speaking at a rally in Pathanamthitta district, Modi sought to reach out to the Christian community, highlighting the NDA's governance in regions with significant Christian populations. He criticized the alleged 'loot' at the Lord Ayyappa shrine and promised investigations and justice if the BJP came to power.
Modi alleged that the LDF and UDF spread misinformation, likening their friendship to a strategic secret partnership. He emphasized development delays in Kerala and vowed that a BJP government would remove obstacles and unleash economic growth. Modi also addressed infrastructure issues, particularly the Sabarimala Railway Project, guaranteeing new opportunities for regional development.
