During an election rally in Ambur, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami delivered a scathing critique of DMK's governance and accusations against his party. Palaniswami countered allegations, particularly the portrayal of AIADMK as "anti-Muslim" due to its alliance with BJP, highlighting historical alliances and challenging DMK's commitment to governance.
Palaniswami detailed examples of AIADMK's past electoral successes, arguing that under DMK, promises such as the old pension scheme remained unfulfilled, resulting in widespread protests. He emphasized AIADMK's role in pushing for schemes like the Rs 1,000 women's rights grant, asserting that it was AIADMK's pressure that led to its implementation.
Calling for political change, Palaniswami appealed to voters to end DMK's "family rule," pledging improved governance, including enhanced law enforcement and caste-wise census if elected. He accused DMK of deceiving minorities and manipulating alliances for votes, insisting that AIADMK would ensure protection and prosperity for all communities.
