Empowering Voices: Delhi CM Engages Transgender Community for Budget Insights

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta engaged with the transgender community on Friday to seek their input for the city's forthcoming budget. The discussion took place at the Delhi Secretariat, where community members welcomed the issuance of Pink smart cards for free bus rides.

Gupta emphasized that the suggestions from the transgender community would be incorporated into the next budget to build a more inclusive Delhi. She described the dialogue as meaningful and vital in shaping a budget reflective of diverse community needs.

The outreach is part of Gupta's broader consultation efforts that include interactions with working women, gig workers, laborers, farmers, teachers, students, and medical professionals, all aimed at crafting an all-encompassing budget set for presentation on March 24.
