The BJP on Thursday took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, critiquing his comments on the US-Israel-Iran conflict. Labeling the remarks as 'reactive and politically driven,' the BJP suggested that Gandhi should follow the lead of senior Congress members who promote a nuanced foreign policy stance.
BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari accused Gandhi of 'anti-India politics,' pointing out that even within his party, leaders such as Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tewari have displayed a more circumspect approach.
In contrast, Gandhi's statements are seen as lacking the necessary depth and maturity for complex geopolitical issues, risking India's diplomatic consistency. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia emphasized the importance of strategic autonomy and urged for diplomatic restraint and clarity.
