Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin is launching the DMK's election campaign at the party's 12th state conference from Siruganur on the Trichy-Chennai national highway. The theme, 'Let Stalin continue, let Tamil Nadu win,' sets the stage for the 2026 Assembly elections.

Stalin, also the DMK president, is expected to highlight the current government's achievements and announce key plans targeting the upcoming elections. The conference is described as a crucial political event, positioning the DMK for potential victories. Stalin will also hoist the party flag on a 110-foot-high flagpole, with organizers expecting around ten lakh attendees.

DMK principal secretary and state Municipal Administration Minister K N Nehru announced the conference will start at 3 pm. In 2021, the DMK won 133 seats, contributing to a total of 159 in the Secular Progressive Alliance in the 234-member Assembly, setting high expectations for the upcoming polls.
