The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for stringent government action in response to unrest triggered by the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. National spokesperson Amitosh Pareek argues that such action is essential to prevent future disruptions and criticized protests in parts of India.
Pareek expressed concern over protests in cities like Jaipur and Lucknow, stating that reactions to international events should not disturb India's peace when there's no direct connection. He further emphasized that disruptive demonstrations do not reflect patriotism.
The killing of Khamenei followed a U.S. military strike on February 28, leading to retaliatory attacks by Iran. The situation has raised regional stability concerns. India has advocated for resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy to prevent further escalation.
