BJP vs. Kerala CM: A Clash Over Freedom of Expression

BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar launched a fierce critique against Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, accusing him of double standards concerning freedom of expression.

Chandrasekhar cited an online appearance by a Hamas leader at a pro-Palestine event, saying that while Vijayan allows such events, he opposes the 'Kerala Story' film about 'love jihad.' The BJP leader questioned Vijayan's integrity, urging individuals to watch or ignore the film as they wish, without governmental interference.

Chandrasekhar further challenged the Communist Party of India (Marxist) to debate the issue and denounced Vijayan's silence on 'love jihad,' asserting it as a reality and accusing him of vote-bank politics. The BJP demands a change for authentic governance in Kerala, echoing some sentiments shared by the Congress.
