In a sharp rebuke, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condemned the opposition's behavior during Governor Anandiben Patel's address at the Budget Session, asserting it weakened democratic traditions and disrespected constitutional authority.
Addressing the Legislative Council, Adityanath praised 51 members across various parties for their constructive debate contributions, stressing the importance of respecting constitutional offices.
Highlighting the state's progress under his leadership, Adityanath criticized past governments for jeopardizing the state's future with 'narrow agendas'. He noted Uttar Pradesh's significant transition from unrest to development and self-confidence under his administration.
