In a significant political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a 'failed dynast'. The accusations arose following the resignation of Bhupen Borah, former Assam Congress president, who expressed dissatisfaction with the party leadership.
Highlighting internal dissent, BJP's Shehzad Poonawalla noted that both the Congress and its allies seem to lack faith in Gandhi's leadership. Allegations of discontent were further fueled by remarks from Congress veteran Mani Shankar Aiyar, who predicted a victory for Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, despite not being affiliated with Congress anymore.
Responding to the controversy, the BJP claims these incidents expose Rahul Gandhi's weakening influence within his own party. The Congress has distanced itself from Aiyar's comments, stressing they reflect his personal views, not the party's stance. This political unrest amplifies questions regarding Gandhi's leadership capabilities.
