Senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar has defended his recent remarks about Kerala's political future, claiming they were blown out of proportion by the media.
Speaking to PTI, Aiyar clarified that his comment regarding Pinarayi Vijayan being the next Chief Minister was merely a "half a line" in his speech. He also praised the achievements of the LDF government, after being informed by Planning Board Principal Secretary Mary Joseph.
Amid criticism and distancing from Congress leaders, Aiyar insists that only the AICC president, Mallikarjun Kharge, can determine his affiliation with the party.
