AIADMK Criticizes TVK After Tragic Rally Incident in Salem

In a fiery exchange at the center of Tamil Nadu's political landscape, AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Satyan condemned the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) after a 37-year-old man tragically died from a heart attack during a rally in Salem, headlined by TVK's chief Vijay. Satyan's harsh rhetoric suggested attendees were 'digging their own graves.'

The deceased, identified as Suraj, a laborer in the silver industry, collapsed unexpectedly and was immediately transported to Manima Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Subsequently, during coverage of the event, a scuffle erupted between media personnel and TVK members, prompting further criticism from AIADMK over TVK's crowd control measures.

TVK's General Secretary, CTR Nirmal Kumar, expressed sorrow over both the unfortunate death and the skirmish with journalists. Kumar assured enhanced safety protocols for future rallies, noting the party's compliance with regulated attendance limits and the presence of medical facilities on-site. The incident remains under police investigation.
