A drone attack targeted a security check post in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, claiming the life of Pakistan army Captain Abbas Khan and injuring soldier Sepoy Farhan, according to local police reports.
The attack occurred in the Akakhel Mumandai area of Bara tehsil, Khyber district, prompting security forces to launch an investigation. A high alert has been imposed in the region as a precautionary measure.
In the evening, funeral prayers for Captain Abbas Khan were conducted in Peshawar. The somber event was attended by Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi and numerous senior civil and military officials, paying their respects to the fallen hero.
