In a poignant visit, NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar traveled to Baramati to console his family in the wake of the tragic death of his nephew, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. The latter perished in a plane crash, leaving behind a bereaved wife, Sunetra Pawar, who has since assumed the role of Deputy CM.
During his visit, Sharad Pawar, alongside family members Parth and Jay, paid floral tributes at a condolence meeting in Sahyog Society. This solemn event occurred shortly after a private meeting at Vidya Pratishtan, where potential political strategies, including the merger of NCP factions, were reportedly on the agenda.
Speculations have arisen about these merger talks, as Sharad Pawar indicated they were nearing completion. However, contrasting narratives surfaced when Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed skepticism regarding any concrete progress. This intertwines personal bereavement with political maneuvering, creating a complex scenario for the Pawar family and party dynamics.
