In a recent press briefing, Sharad Pawar, head of the NCP (SP), clarified that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was not involved in ongoing merger discussions within the Nationalist Congress Party.
Pawar asserted that the negotiations were primarily handled by NCP leaders Jayant Patil and his nephew, the late Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, who passed away in a tragic plane crash.
Speculation arose about a memorial for Ajit Pawar, yet Sharad Pawar insists no official discussions have occurred. Notably, Kiran Gujar, a close family confidant, revealed that plans were underway at the Vidya Pratishthan premises.
