Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has taken aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the non-disclosure of his educational certificate, raising concerns about double standards when illiterate and poor citizens are burdened with documentation demands during the Electoral Roll SIR process.
Reddy, while presenting an award in memory of late CPI leader Ravi Narayana Reddy to ex-Supreme Court judge B Sudarshan Reddy, criticized the BJP's aim to secure 400 Lok Sabha seats, alleging a plan to amend the Constitution and restrict voting rights for marginalized communities. He expressed concerns regarding the lack of transparency around Modi's educational qualifications, juxtaposed against the stringent documentation required from disadvantaged voters.
Critiquing TJS Leader M Kodandaram's arrest and condemning BRS's stance on KCR's probe in the phone-tapping case, Reddy denounced the inconsistency in the treatment of Telangana's prominent figures and emphasized his readiness to present his own educational credentials if required.
