Controversies and Conspiracies: Reddy Challenges Political Transparency

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy raised questions over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's undisclosed educational credentials, while criticizing the issuance of numerous documents required from illiterate and impoverished individuals for the Special Summary Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls initiated by the Election Commission.

In an event where he honored former Supreme Court Judge B Sudarshan Reddy with an award in memory of CPI leader Ravi Narayana Reddy, Revanth Reddy also scrutinized the BRS's protest regarding its president K Chandrasekhar Rao's examination in a phone-tapping case. He alleged the 'One Nation One Election' proposal aims to establish a 'one person - one party' system.

Reddy claimed the BJP sought 400 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections to purportedly dismantle the Constitution, asserting a simple majority is sufficient for constitutional amendments in public interest. Responding to accusations of hindering voting rights for the underprivileged, he argued that the SIR demands excessive identification proofs, questioning the transparency of withholding Modi's educational certificate.
