In a compelling critique of the President's recent address, senior RJD leader A D Singh emphasized that a 'Viksit Bharat' cannot be achieved through statistics alone, but must focus on job creation, justice, equality, sustainability, and trust.
Speaking in Parliament, Singh argued that while the government celebrates a portrayal of a uniformly prosperous India, reality tells a different story. He pointed to stagnant wages, high youth unemployment, and the challenges faced by MSMEs as significant concerns.
Singh further criticized the country's economic strategies, stating that India’s manufacturing is more export-driven than value-adding. He expressed skepticism about infrastructure projects that ignore ordinary citizens' needs and stressed the importance of reforms that genuinely improve livelihoods and echo the voices of the unheard.
