Maharashtra Civic Polls: A Turning Point, Says Prakash Ambedkar

Prakash Ambedkar, leader of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and grandson of Dr. B R Ambedkar, has declared the Maharashtra civic polls as a noteworthy turning point. According to Ambedkar, these elections could dismantle the BJP's decade-long dominance.

Speaking to media personnel after casting his vote in Akola, Prakash Ambedkar shared his belief that no single political faction would secure absolute control in civic bodies, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Highlighting incidents of attempted electoral bribery, he praised voters for resisting and ejecting such offending parties. He viewed this as a hopeful sign for the integrity of democracy.
