Political speculations regarding the Kerala Congress (Mani)'s possible return to the United Democratic Front (UDF) continue to swirl. However, representatives from both the UDF and the rival Left Democratic Front (LDF) have dismissed any such moves.
The Kerala Congress (Mani), famously once aligned with the UDF, shifted to the LDF in 2020. Its current chairman, Jose K Mani, confirmed the party remains committed to the LDF. Meanwhile, UDF convenor Adoor Prakash, speaking in Kasaragod, emphasized that no discussions about the party's return had taken place.
Amid remarks by Opposition Leader V D Satheesan hinting that new parties might enter the UDF, Prakash disclaimed any formal announcements. Further discussions, he assured, would involve party stakeholders like Pala MLA Mani C Kappan. CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam reiterated the unchanged allegiance to LDF.
