In a unique campaign moment, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, took part in a traditional fishing ritual with local fishermen in Begusarai, Bihar. This comes as part of his campaign for the upcoming two-phased Assembly elections, beginning November 6. His involvement drew mixed reactions, with BJP MP Ravi Kishan mockingly suggesting that Gandhi might secure fewer votes than the number of fish he caught.

Ravi Kishan, while speaking to reporters, humorously remarked, "As much fish as he caught when he came yesterday, he'll get even fewer votes than that. Well, alright at least his swimming style was nice. We're over there catching votes, and he's busy catching fish." Kishan asserted a massive win for the National Democratic Alliance in the state, expressing confidence in securing a record number of seats.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain highlighted Ravi Kishan's strong connection with the people of Bihar, crediting them for his rise to stardom and stating that his efforts are now focused on delivering a 'superstar' Chief Minister. On the other hand, Gandhi expressed solidarity with the fishermen community in a post on social media, emphasizing their significant contribution to Bihar's economy and pledging to support their rights and dignity.
