Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday commended the arrest of Janata Dal (United) leader and Bihar Assembly candidate Anant Kumar Singh, linked to the Dularchand Yadav murder case. Maurya, serving as BJP's Bihar co-in charge, asserted that the arrest highlights the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led government's commitment to impartial law enforcement.
"The state's law and order are robust," remarked Maurya, a star BJP campaigner for Bihar Assembly polls, to ANI. Addressing RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's claims of representing diverse communities, Maurya expressed skepticism about the RJD-Congress alliance's future, even if RJD secured Deputy CM positions.
Anant Kumar Singh's arrest with associates by Patna Police, amidst the Dularchand Yadav murder inquiry, underscores heightened tensions in Bihar's volatile Mokama constituency. The electoral duel, featuring candidates from significant political lineages within the Bhumihaar community, intensifies as Bihar heads to polls, presenting challenges and opportunities for both JD(U) and RJD.
