Manipur Congress Honors Icons of Unity and Integrity

In a commemorative event, the Manipur Congress Legislature Party leader Okram Ibobi Singh lauded the influential roles of Indian icons Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Indira Gandhi.
Singh highlighted their steadfast commitment to the nation's unity during the 150th and 41st anniversaries of their births and deaths, respectively. He expressed gratitude for their decisive leadership, particularly in integrating princely states and bolstering national strength.
Singh criticized former Chief Minister N Biren Singh and the BJP for taking undue credit for border fencing initiatives along the Manipur-Myanmar border. Citing records showing most work occurred under former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he challenged the BJP's claims.
