Harnessing India's Demographic Potential: The Path to Viksit Bharat 2047
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized the importance of effectively channeling India's young population to avoid it becoming a burden. At an event marking Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 150th birth anniversary, Rijiju highlighted the journey towards a developed India by 2047, stressing the role of youth and military prowess.

India's youthful demographic, often referred to as a demographic dividend, was highlighted as both an opportunity and a challenge by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju. If not properly harnessed, this potential could transform into a demographic burden, he warned during an address at the Manekshaw Centre.
The event, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, was graced by Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi. Rijiju spoke passionately about India's aim to become a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047, underscoring that this aspiration is grounded in determination and the collective strength of its youth and armed forces.
Addressing the audience, including Col Sofiya Qureshi of Operation Sindoor fame, Rijiju and other speakers stressed the importance of digital literacy and alertness against misinformation among young leaders.
