The ruling NDA has unveiled an ambitious manifesto for the forthcoming Bihar assembly elections. The elections are slotted for November 6 and 11, with vote counting scheduled for November 14.
Key features of the manifesto include the promise of government jobs and employment opportunities for over one crore youth. The manifesto commits to providing a minimum support price (MSP) for all crops, while the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme will see an increase from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000 annually.
Infrastructure advancements form a significant part of the manifesto, with plans for international airports in Darbhanga, Purnia, and Bhagalpur, along with Metro rail projects in four cities. Additionally, educational and social initiatives feature prominently, such as transforming major district schools, establishing a world-class Medical City, and ensuring free education from kindergarten to post-graduation for students from impoverished backgrounds.
