Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in a piercing attack against the INDIA bloc, highlighted potential nepotism, claiming that RJD leader Lalu Prasad aims to establish his son Tejashwi as Bihar's Chief Minister while Congress's Sonia Gandhi envisions her son Rahul as the next Prime Minister. He emphasized, however, that both positions are not currently available.
During his public address in Darbhanga, Shah raised concerns about the future of arrested members of the radical group Popular Front of India (PFI) if the Congress-RJD alliance seized power in Bihar. Shah also alleged financial misconduct within the Mahagathbandhan, calling it 'thug bandhan', and pointed fingers at historical scams involving Lalu Prasad and Congress.
Shah proudly noted the NDA's initiatives in Bihar, such as introducing free ration services, developing transport and healthcare infrastructure, and constructing a temple dedicated to Goddess Sita. He portrayed the NDA as a unity of 'paanch paandav', committed to defeating the opposition and safeguarding Bihar's interests.
