In a significant development, Congress leaders in Bihar staged a protest on Thursday, demanding the immediate replacement of Krishna Allavaru, AICC Bihar in-charge, accusing him of being a 'corporate agent' and alleging his association with the RSS.
The protesters gathered at Sadaqat Ashram, expressing their dissent by wearing black ribbons and displaying placards with the slogan 'ticket chor, Bihar chhod.' Their grievances stem from Allavaru's alleged mismanagement impacting the party's prospects in Bihar elections, which they argue undid the momentum created by Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra.
Senior leader Anand Madhab voiced the demand for Allavaru’s replacement with a 'political person' and a working president to better manage the party's affairs. He emphasized the intention to salvage Congress's position in Bihar rather than personal grievances over election ticket distribution.
