The escalating pollution crisis in Delhi has sparked a heated political confrontation between Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal. In response to a tweet mocking the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) stance on Punjab's stubble burning, Sirsa lashed out at Kejriwal, labeling him as 'anpadh' or illiterate.

Sirsa accused AAP of pressuring Punjab farmers into burning stubble, worsening Delhi's air quality. He claimed Kejriwal's past videos illustrate how pollutants from Punjab swiftly impact Delhi. With the Air Quality Index (AQI) plummeting, the Commission for Air Quality Management has implemented Stage 2 of the Graded Response Action Plan to mitigate the pollution.

Despite these measures, AQI levels in various parts of Delhi, such as RK Puram and Anand Vihar, remain in the 'very poor' category. Concerns persist as the situation unfolds, highlighting the urgent need for effective action and collaboration to address Delhi's deteriorating air quality.
