A local court in Goa has issued a non-bailable warrant for right-wing speaker Gautam Khattar, sought by police following his controversial comments on St. Francis Xavier. The Magistrate's decision came after Khattar ignored a notice to appear for questioning, according to Superintendent Rahul Gupta.

Goa Police, who filed an FIR against Khattar for 'hurting religious sentiments,' have intensified their search efforts since last weekend. On Wednesday, officers captured his brother, Madhav Khattar, in Uttarakhand and obtained a four-day police custody order.

The Goa Crime Branch has heightened efforts to apprehend Gautam Khattar in response to public protests and issued a Look Out Circular to prevent his travel abroad. Demonstrations, including participation by former state revenue minister Jose Philip D'Souza, demand accountability from both Khattar and event organizers.
