In a daring robbery that unfolded in Delhi's prestigious Golf Links area, three men have been apprehended in connection with holding a businessman's family hostage and stealing jewellery worth Rs 25 lakh. Among the suspects is the family's newly hired domestic help, who allegedly conspired with accomplices to carry out the heist.
The accused, identified as Guddu Kumar Kamat, Raman Kamat, and Amit Singh, were tracked down through extensive technical surveillance and data analysis. Guddu and Raman were arrested in Mumbai, while Amit was captured in Uttar Pradesh, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Sachin Sharma.
The meticulously planned heist involved the domestic help allowing entry to the suspects, who then seized the family and executed the robbery. Guddu is a repeat offender, Raman has been involved in similar crimes, and Amit is a notorious vehicle thief, police revealed. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other suspects and recover the stolen property.
