Police conducted a swift six-hour investigation that unraveled a staged Rs 17 lakh robbery in Rohini, ultimately leading to the arrest of Abhishek, who masterminded the plan to siphon off his employer's money. Authorities received a PCR call based on Abhishek's complaint, which later proved to be deceptive.
Police promptly registered a case and launched an investigation, employing technical surveillance and local intelligence to trace the suspects. As inconsistencies arose in Abhishek's account, sustained questioning revealed the fabricated nature of the crime. The investigation exposed a conspiracy involving Abhishek and his associates.
Abhishek, along with accomplices Anuj and Bharat, was apprehended, while attempts are ongoing to arrest the absconding Ajay. Recoveries included Rs 6 lakh in cash, a toy pistol, and the scooter used in the supposed crime. Authorities charged the conspirators with criminal conspiracy and cheating, as efforts continue to recover the remaining amount.
