A murder charge has been registered in Ambala following the mysterious death of 25-year-old deputy engineer Rahul Mishra at Lekhi Complex in Mahesh Nagar two months ago. Mishra, employed by a private company, was discovered deceased in February in circumstances initially deemed accidental by local authorities.
The case took a new turn after Rahul's father, Vinod Kumar Mishra, petitioned Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij, alleging that the police failed to investigate his son's death thoroughly. Vinod Mishra, currently serving in the Indian Air Force, raised concerns over possible involvement of Rahul's landlord and his son.
In response to these claims, Minister Vij directed the Station House Officer of Mahesh Nagar Police Station to treat the incident as a murder case. The intervention overturned the previous assumption that Mishra's death resulted from an accidental fall, as was initially reported by the landlord.
