In the Dhandhuka area of Gujarat's Ahmedabad district, a motorcycle accident sparked a violent altercation, leaving one man dead and several shops ablaze on Saturday, officials reported.
Dharmesh Gamara, aged 30, succumbed to a fatal knife wound after a collision between two motorcycles resulted in a heated clash between different community members. The conflict intensified when one group gathered at the residence of the other party involved in the accident.
Following Gamara's death from excessive bleeding, tensions soared, leading to arson that destroyed seven to eight roadside shops. Police and fire brigades swiftly responded, controlling the situation, while a combing operation is in place to find those behind the violence. Arrests and detentions have been made, with investigations ongoing.
