Bihar's political climate witnessed a shift as the Samrat Choudhary government granted Z security cover to the newly appointed Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav.
Nishant Kumar, a newcomer whose father Nitish Kumar resigned as CM, also received this prestigious security upgrade. The state Home Department issued the notifications shortly after the leadership change that saw veteran JD(U) leaders sworn in as deputies.
Meanwhile, BJP's Vijay Sinha, an influential figure with a substantial political career, saw his security detail reduced to Z cover. As the former Assembly Speaker, Sinha's new security status marks a notable adjustment in Bihar's political pecking order.
