NIA Cracks Down: Arms Smuggling Syndicate Busted

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken significant action against arms smuggling, filing a chargesheet against Kundan Kumar, a resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Kumar is accused of trafficking weapons from Nagaland to supply them to Naxalite groups.

Kumar represents the sixth individual charged in this ongoing investigation, which started when the Bihar Police seized an AK-47 rifle. The NIA arrested Kumar in November 2025, suspecting his involvement in procuring prohibited weapons.

According to the NIA, the conspiracy involves multiple accused, including Vikash Kumar, Devmani Rai, Satyam Kumar, Ahmad Ansari, and Manjoor Khan. Investigations continue to identify other accomplices and dismantle the smuggling syndicate, indicating a significant breakthrough in combating illegal arms distribution.
