In a significant step towards curbing drug addiction, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha unveiled the 'Drug-free Jammu and Kashmir campaign' in Ramban district on Wednesday. Launching from Jammu and Kathua earlier in the month, the campaign is a 100-day intensive effort to address this pressing issue.
Leading by example, Sinha conducted a 'padyatra' and spoke at a public meeting, emphasizing the campaign's goal to eradicate drug addiction from the region. He urged collective responsibility and underscored the importance of community involvement in creating a robust social movement against drug abuse.
The Lieutenant Governor stressed that united societal support can significantly strengthen legal frameworks. "We aim for a society where dealers fear the law, and individuals overcoming addiction feel pride," he remarked, advocating for communal action to secure a brighter future for the youth.
